Naan - so quick and easy yet so delicious!

Part of my new 'From Scratch' series as requested by you guys over on my IG. Each week I will be showing you how to make a new component from one of my dishes, completely from scratch.

Ingredients:

700g bread flour
2 tsp salt
6 tbsps yoghurt
4 tbsp olive oil
354g / 1.5 cups warm water
2 tsp dried instant yeast
6 tsp caster sugar

50g butter
2 cloves garlic (minced)

Black onion seeds (aka nigella seeds)
Bunch of parsley (finely chopped)

Method:

1. Mix together yoghurt, yeast, sugar, oil and water in a bowl. Cover & set aside for 10 minutes to bloom the yeast.

2. In a new bowl add the flour, salt and bloomed yeast mixture, and mix.

3. Once combined, knead for a few minutes until smooth.

4. Rest until doubled in size (roughly 1.5 - 2 hrs)

5. Meanwhile, melt the butter over medium heat and add garlic. Bubble for a few minutes then remove from heat.

6. Once dough has risen, knock out the air and split into 8 balls.

7. On floured surface, roll out each ball until 1/2 inch thick.

8. In a dry pan, cook the naan for 2.5 mins on each side.

9. Once cooked and whilst cooking the rest of the naan, place on a plate covered in a damp towel.

10. When ready to serve, drizzle the garlic butter over the naan, followed by a sprinkle of the onions seeds and some parsley.

My indian instinct: Finally a person who knows to cook properly.

While I was seeing other food videos like tasty's I understood how Italians feel while others make pizza or pasta or any other Italian dish
