Swapping nozzles (Bambu Lab P1P)

preview_player
Показать описание
We never swap nozzles on most 3D printers. It's just not fun. On the Bambu Lab P1P and X1 series 3D printers, the process of swapping the entire hotend is straightforward without risks such as leaky nozzles. The entire hotend assembly is quite affordable.

This is the full hotend swap, not just a nozzle swap.

IMPORTANT TIP FOR BAMBULAB USERS: Just buy extra hotend assemblies! They’re cheap and *so* much easier than dealing with thermal grease and further disassembly to swap just the nozzle. (!!)

FYI you are supposed to run calibration when changing to a new nozzle. They can be slightly
Off spec.

I think showing the use of a power tool for this without a disclaimer is kind of irresponsible.
Not to discredit you, I'd do the same probably.

Even easier with Trianglelab TZ2.0 hotend. Literally 20 second job with 6mm socket adapter. And best of all is that it is way better than original hotend and it costs fraction of the original.

Do you have to change the whole hotend when the nozzle is worn out or can you change the nozzle aswell?

What do you plan on printing with the 0.4 mm nozzle. Also when can we get an update on the toolchanger. Can’t wait for that content. Have a great day Mihai. Love your videos regardless of the topic!

I'm actually surprised it's "only" 35, -
I expected those to cost more than my entire printer

Do you have to buy a new hotend once the nozzle is worn out?

Do you need to replace the thermal paste when changing the nozzle? The nozzle wasn't the whole assembly so I had to pull off the old nozzle from the fan including the sensors, and then situate them again with the new nozzle. It's funny, I remember doing this before and it didn't seem nearly as involved. Maybe I had a whole assembly and I just lost it or something. Either that, or the leprechauns have been messing with my stuff again...
