I just replaced mine today before I watched this video. The complete hotend assembly is the best.

While I had spare cash and time, I ordered full set of complete hotends, belts and other parts.
Gives me a safer feeling for when I have an outage that I have instant fix not extra cost to rush the delivery.

I think you need to change the nozzle on the machine front panel by selecting the 'nut' on the left strip, the 'Maintenance' tab and selecting the proper nozzle under the accessories/nozzle setting.

Great info, I am about to put an all metal hot end on my P1S. As good as these printers are, people should know that if heaven forbid you have a problem, you have to jump through fire to get support from Bambu Labs.

Clear guide and easy to follow, managed to do the replacement and everything works fine. Thanks!

Thank you for this suggestion, I was dreading swapping out the X1C nozzle after owning the A1 it was so easy. This is almost as easy now just buy the complete nozzle and screw taking off the heater, thermal couple and fan!!! Keep them fully assembled and swap out in minutes!!!

I “accidentally” ordered a spare complete hot end when I ordered my printer because I wanted a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle. My fan died today after only a couple of weeks of use and was able to get back running the same day because I just swapped out the complete hotend. I will get in touch with support and get a new complete hotend (or the parts to make one). I will definitely order any future nozzles as a complete set.

Thank you
You’ve shown a easy solution
Will definitely have complete ready to go so I can swap them out easily. Thank you so much.

You should really be explaining what each of those wire connectors are

I wish bambu would merge all cables into 1 single end, it would speed up the process even more and reduce accidental damage. My hands are big it takes a lot for me to carefully handle small things like this. 😂

Jim, good video. I have a spare .6 mm for my X1 carbon and a spare extruder. They are both fairly easy to swap. I also have all the spares needed to rebuild a hot end. As you mentioned the prices are reasonable.

I appreciate these videos Jim, although they post them on the bambu channel there is no dialogue talking you through the process, which I find weird. Yours are a lot better. Good job as always!

Complete hotend is the best for me. Very easy to replace and thanks for the video. Great, simple, complete.

After buying the hardened hotends without fans and thermistor because I have both P1P and X1C, I realized the hassle of messing around with the different thermistors and fans (they are different on each machine). So, I bought the correct fans and thermistors to dedicate those hotends to a machine for simplicity and purchase a few more complete sets. So, now I have extra .04, .06, and .08 for both..it is worth it. I am now going to buy extra extruder hardened to have on hand. I already have large supply of cutters, wipers, etc. My suggestion is to have these on hand if you buy these printers, new company, supply chain, etc. Although supplies and filaments have come quickly, usually 4 days and they come from CA and I am in Ohio…

I have a P1S and I replaced a .4 with a .6 complete hot end but now the calibration test is not working. IS there something else I should try? Hot end was new from Bambu.

Is there another self test/calibration I can do with the X1C? That option you chose isn’t available on my printer.

Love a little board that I could power the hotend up externally. Be nice to run a tool thru it.

Yep, each nozzle size on its own hotend. I have all four sizes for my X1-C and my A1. For that price screw the mess of moving thermister and heater core from one to the other.

I just used your video to put in a hardened 0.4 hotend. THANK YOU!

Ok, so now I have a hardened steel hotend but doesn't the printer need to know that? Won't it need higher temps now?
