i always loved this movie but it’s so much more nostalgic when i think about a time my family watched this movie with my grandpa that was a korean war veteran. both his brothers were in wwii when they were barely old enough to be drafted. i remember him crying so much during this movie and to think he was 14 during wwii and definitely remembered it and was afraid for his 2 brothers❤ man i miss him so much, he passed 6 years ago.

I always cry for this movie. It especially gets me balling at the end when Rafe says “Danny you want to go flying” ( I don’t think that’s word for word) and they go in the plane that looks like the one Rafe and Danny accidentally flue as kids in the beginning. Still my favorite movie though! ❤️😭

I was for Rafe and Evelyn since beginning, but I felt bad for Danny, because he ended up the worst way possible. Evelyn was never his, that's why she did not want him to know about her pregnancy, he would find out that's the reason why she is with him, not because she chose him over Rafe. She would come back to Rafe in a heartbeat if she was not pregnant. She wanted him to come back from mission to be a father to his child. Also, her heartbreaking monologue about how life did not ask her what she wanted and how she loves Rafe with her whole life simply broke me, you could see how much she wants to be with him, but had to chose duty over feelings. Danny and Evelyn loved Rafe the most and Rafe loved them the most. Time they spent together was because they missed him and found peace together. I think this is one of the most sophisticated love triangles, because all of them love each other.

Bless who created this and this should be saved everywhere because it is so beautiful, beyond words can express. This movie is a beautiful masterpiece and thank you for creating an extension of what the movie is.

i was and will always and forever be team danny... i wish that he didnt die. rafe and evelyn had a love that showed the type of relationship that most people had/have, but danny and evelyn is the love that people dream about, love, and wish upon a star for. i cried when danny died, in my heart evelyn and danny will always be endgame ❤❤ and i think that when he took her for a sunset flight that was the sweetest and best scene in cinema history.
