My Parents went to New York many years ago, this penny is in cased in a horse show case, it looks like 1940, or 49 D, and it's a wheat penny.

I have a question not to do with the video, I found a Vermont quarter from 2001 and on the side its silver no trace of copper color and I'm wondering if it's a proof set quarter but it's not as shiny as a proof set quarter please reply to this comment because I can't find any information online :edit it has the p mint mark

Yeah. When you get money, don’t damage it. You should immediately preserve it. Put it in your glove box in your owners manual if it’s paper money. If it’s a coin, put it in a container like a capsule or even a little baggie. Just make sure that whatever that you put it in, is clean and free from any foreign substance and or moisture.
