Scooby Doo Theory #1: The Mystery of the High Lama

I think high lama had some kind of secret magical way to get to Shangela and back. It would make sense that places supernatural🧐

The movie's credits are animated. Along with every character and voice actor we see movie clips from such character.
When an actor plays more than one character, the credits show the names and clips of both characters.
Why is it relevant? Because the credits show both versions of the High Lama as only one character with one single name.
Besides, the young Lama acts too familiar to Shaggy and Scooby, as if he knew them from a previous scene.

It is however strange that only Shaggy and Scooby interact with the younger version yet never aknowledge how he looks younger, nor are they surprised to see him old again a couple of scenes later.

I wonder if a previous draft of the script had them as different characters.
