Nothing from KC -really we have a BBQ tradition that goes back over 100 years and the pit masters have come here from all parts of the country. Side orders have always been simple fries, beans, coleslaw, pickles and white bread. Sauce is key here and sandwiches are huge-simplicity with very slow cooking in brick ovens hence the term Red Brick BBQ Locals have there favorites with over 70 joints to choose from and a hot summer day the city smells as one giant smoker

Franklin BBQ was so excellent and very scrumptious in my humble opinion. In San Antonio, we have Pinkerton’s Barbecue, 2M Smokehouse, Blanco BBQ and Smoke Shack.

You ever been to Kansas City?
Seriously, unless Kansas City is going to get its own top BBQ restaurants video, I'm afraid I can't take this one seriously! 🤣😂🤣

Franklin's in Austin is incredible but you forgot to mention the 3 hours in line and possibly be sold out once you get to the door.

Bill Miller's and Rudy's is the go-to for most Texans.
Downtown San Antonio in the area of Santa Rosa street is where Miller's smoke with mesquite ALL the brisket and ribs for their entire chain of stores 24/7, smells great.

What do you have to do to get on this list I’ve lived and worked in the Raytown area all my life and never heard of this place so today I went and found it and google maps even struggled finding but after finding it it does NOT even have a sign let alone a parking lot but it does have two plastic tents in front of some building the only thing that looks like a sign is “tap room” on a door I was there at 12:15 noon and two whole cars were in front

When you look at the beat, you will get the best, color flavor tastes and style you can smell the interesting, and you can see the love and understanding on who B.B.Q made, it takes time to be the best, and when you get there it’s a great feeling to have, and to see people enjoy your B.B.Q .

The Pacific Northwest is home to several 'Famous Dave's' franchised barbecue restaurants. Perfectly acceptable entrees in a charming sit-down atmosphere. The sauces and sides are delectable in their variety and quality. I always get the Wilbur Beans and Drunken Apples.

Heirloom BBQ outside of Atlanta and Southern Soul in St. Simons are my favorites. For ribs Fat Matt’s. Best sauce - Melvin’s outside of Charleston.

Always think of bbq restaurants as a time and a place, it has to fit the occasion, not the other way around eg, clear out brush all morning and then someone goes and picks up some bbq from the local decent place (In our case, B's bbq near Greenville NC) . Eat the darn thing like you're hungry. I mean, maybe I'll make a pilgrimage to Snow's or something but it sort of defeats the purpose to wait in line for three hours (or, I dunno, maybe that's what makes you hungry) Loved Bite Me bbq in Wichita precisely because I was strolling around Oldtown getting hungry, thinking about where to eat and there it was, waiting for me.

My favorite pork ribs came from a small Cuban grocery store near the Hilton in Miami. The place was called the Varadero market. Just walk to the back of the store and order a slab, you'll agree.
