Teeth trauma... What a day to learn new stuff

It can also be caused by the digestion of a lot of calcium, if you drink milk often and on its own, it is possible for it to come to your teeth. There is a cream that you can apply daily to reduce the spots

When I was a kid in the 90s, schools had a "swish" with a fluoride mouthwash after lunch, starting in kindergarten. As expected, a lot of kids just drank it. There was also high levels of fluoride in the water in that area. (This was the coastal Southern US) So, for myself and a lot of kids in my age group, it was quite common to see those white spots.

Aside from physical trauma, my dentist told me that research shows this can be caused by high fevers (while sick, obviously) during that particular developmental phase of the teeth while young.

I have had white spots on my two bottom teeth and have had them MY WHOLE LIFE. You are correct people assume things. Mine are from a nutritional imbalance. They were on my baby teeth and once those came out they were still on my permanent teeth. I get treated horrible when people see them when I talk as if I am nasty and don't take care of my teeth. Also, when you try to tell people they were even on my baby teeth they tell me no I must be mistaken. I have absolutely been so mad at how mean and judgemental people are and how quickly people judge someone over things that are not even in their control. I've also learned that it could have even been caused because of nutritional imbalances during prenatal development. So basically I get judged and looked at weird because of something my mother did or did not do while I was in her belly. I will never understand why people are so quick to judge and assume without knowing straight up facts before they speak or think stupid things. They have a brain they should use it before being so mean to others! You should make one on nutritional imbalances and teach the judgemental people facts! They really need to learn things in life.

Thank you for explaining this so clearly! I have two large white spots on my front teeth and it’s always bothered me 😣😣

I have one spot on my front tooth and I was told two thing A.) it was from a high fever as a child 2.) It was from using fluoride toothpaste as a kid. Neither really make sense to me.

A whole generation of us have them in Australia when fluoride was introduced to our water in the early 2000’s. Only younger people point it out to me as weird but most of my peer had the white spots as well as myself. They also fade over time

I have them too. It's been a mystery to me for decades, but I never bothered looking it up because it was just normal for me. I'm glad I found your video.

I have mild fluorosis and got a few comments throughout my life telling me that I wasn't taking care of my teeth. Love that that you're helping me confirm that it wasn't true.

I have these 2 spots on the exact same teeth and I am SO HAPPY that it's not just me not taking care of my teeth. Thank you for fully confirming this!

when I was younger, about five years old, I was riding a scooter, and either ran into a wall or fell face first on the ground, and my right big tooth turned blue, but we went to the dentist too late, so the trauma formed into the other tooth next to it, so they had to pull both teeth out, which caused the white spots on my teeth❤

I have fluorosis too… its annoying when my family or friends tell me to brush my teeth. Then when I say I did, they ask for “proof”

Braces sometimes also cause them, especially in that kind of positioning. A bunch of my front teeth have spots from where my braces were glued, since they were whiter when they were put on than when they were taken off.
