This is actually not true, the reason that they put this gell in the cats eyes is because a cats eye is always open when they go into surgery, so they put this gell in the cats eyes so their eyes don't dry out while they are having surgery

That’s not fully true, we have a kitten who a few weeks ago when she was 5-8 weeks old we had to put that in her eye because cats have a third eyelid that shuts vertically and hers was stuck halfway closed and had an ulcer in her eye, so while this is mildly true it is used for many different reasons, none of which, are cruel.

BECUZ CATS CAN'T CLOSE THEIR EYES ALL THE WAY ON THEIR OWN?! 😂 They do it to cats and humans when they go under anesthesia.... sometimes they tape human eyes shut but you can't really do that with furry eyelids. Then a couple of the clips were medication going into the eyes for conjunctivitis.
