It's fascinating to see how often the old designs they got rid of look better than the new ones within the context of the lego world.

I still remember that time when some 90s-00 Legos sets fell off a boat and the pieces ended up a beach years later, ironanycally the pieces were from acuatic related sets like cocodriles, octopusses, sea shells and boats

I wish they still made Lego monkeys. Those four minifig arms make them look so cool, but I missed out on all the sets that had them.

I love the classic lego monkeys, they always seemed to me very organic in any series and looked more natural

The old Lego monkey mold is the best thing ever, it can hold 4 guns or 4 swords at a time

I kinda like the old crocodile more than the new one. The blockier body fits the blocky world of lego a lot more. It's weird if the whole world is made of simple geometric shapes, but then the animals are all super detailed.

I used to collect Lego animals as a kid, along with the sets in general. My parents made me sell all my toys once I turned 12 because I was “too old” but I stashed away all the animals in supply boxes in my underwear drawer. I wonder if I could still find them amongst my things still left at their house.

There was actually Some more ocean creatures Lego added recently like the stingray hammerhead shark and the anglerfish and this video is very well done.

I kinda love those old Fabuland minifigs. They’re like retro Animal Crossing characters.

Unironically I like the engraved eyes and plainer designs for the animals, rather than the printed ones. They’re less specific, but as a kid I only had a few animals so all my minifigures had to have German Shepherds instead of any other kind of brown dog. And the printed eyes look silly on the big cats and sea creatures

Those dragons still hold up well today, I have both the green and black and they’re really cool!

When I was young, we had one of those old parrots from the pirates sets. We called him coco and his silhouette inspired us to give it the power to become like a bullet, penetrating any wall, destroying anything in his way. We built huge megablock castles and he busted right through them. Blessed be coco the bullet parrot.

A few little ones you missed out: bat (1997), snake (1997), scorpion (1998), spider (1999).

The lego Jurassic World line was not the first to include a modified dinosaur mold, those were just reprinted figures from the lego dino theme

Dude THANK YOU for making a LEGO animal video and including prehistoric animals, most LEGO animal tops and videos tend to exclude my prehistoric boios and include fictional animals. So thanks a lot for including them!

What about Snake, spider, scorpion, frog and squirrel?

Regardless of if you prefer the old style, or new style of these animals, can we at least agree that molded specific animals are better than the brick built ones?

These are all amazing and just opens the door to so many new animals in the coming years.
