The Best And Worst Last Second Pokemon Decisions

Pokemon has had an incredible ride for the last 20 years or so. It quickly became one of the most popular media franchises in the world with its own video games, anime and manga, but it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. There’ve been some last minute decisions that hurt Pokemon and there’ve also been plenty of decisions that saved it as well so, today, we’re going to take a look at both sides of the story.

Believe it or not, there are plenty of unused Generation 2 Pokemon designs that were scrapped from the game at the last second, but luckily, these designs inspired some new Pokemon in the series later on. Gorochu is a great name, and he was considered before Pichu was. I would trade Pichu for Gorochu without a second thought. Dumbing things down might have been the right marketing choice, and I did enjoy the game, but that was despite of the changes, not because of them. I hate the physical throwing mechanic, and I prefer the wild encounter battle mechanism greatly over the throw balls at it till you catch it or it runs method.

CBR didn't talk much about last minute changes. This was a bad video.

Y'all complain about Poke Rap errors but the "Ditto pre-evolution" you showed wasn't even the right one

A. that "ditto baby evolution" was the original water starter, B. The rap was Awesome!, C. Gorochu was the Japanese name so of course an english audience wouldn't like it. D. Gorochu is awesome because he is based off a thunder god in Japanese mythology. E. Gorochu wasn't fully developed and probably doesn't look anything like that picture you guys had on it so it didn't look terrible. F. That picture of Gorochu looked cool anyway.

I think Raichu should have a Mega Evolution that has nods to Gorochu that spikes its speed and the power of Electric moves and if it knows Electric moves that does recoil damage the damage is slightly reduced. This would give Raichu the love it deserves and don't get me wrong, I LOVE Pikachu, but I do believe Raichu needs to be given more love then it gets. It is supposed to be stronger but give Pikachu an evolite (I think I spelled that wrong) and it is better than its evolution. The same should be done with Blissey if you ask me too. A full evolution shouldn't always be bested by its pre evolution holding evolite.

Team rocket in game: cuts slowpoke tails to sell them as food. Kills Marowak (cubone's mom that ends up haunting the cemetery). In anime, Jessie and James have struck their pokemon several times (as well as Meowth).

There is some wrong information in this video team rocket did some evil/dark things in the original games like killing a pokemon and that pokemon ended up hunting the Pokemon Tower(thanks for the likes)

I hated the catching mechanics of Pokemon Go. It definitely killed the game for me.
