I like how at the end he said about the hall of fame, and then said well most guys. Lol

The man is the baseball encyclopedia. Like him or not, you cannot take away from his accomplishments and his knowledge. It's a damn shame our generation and generations to come cannot benefit more so from this because of his mistakes, which I confess painfully is of his own doing. It really is a mutual loss. Baseballs. His. Ours.

1 hit extra out of 10 is the difference between being an allstar and minor leaguer

Incredible that some people tend to overlook the high quality of all aspects of MLB

I love Pete Rose's candor. Regardless of his tainted past, he will always be a favorite and no doubt one of the best hitters of all time. Hall of Fame in 10 years?

Some of the smartest stuff I've ever heard said right here

This is somewhat true. My highschool was able to play at progressive field (the Cleveland Indians field) because we were in the city championship. I hit better that game then any other in my life and it was because I could see the ball soooo well.

Wow. Maybe I'm just too easy to impress, but to be able to see the spin on the ball as it takes a quarter second to reach you. I am blown away.

the 7/10 failure quote is always one i love to go to when my friends are having beers and arguing sports when I'm obviously on the side for baseball supremacy.

I love listening to Pete Rose talk baseball. The man’s passion for the game is simply the best. No one loves baseball more than Pete, and everything he says is spot on. I hope MLB reconsiders his plight and he gets to the HOF while he is still alive.

I shot some baskets at Quicken Loans arena a few years ago during a season-ticket holder event. The hoop was well lit against a darker backdrop and the floor was elevated which gave me the effect of being closer to the hoop. I took three 3-pointers and hit all of them easily. A feeling I will never forget. I remember thinking "If I were 12 inches taller the hoop would've felt too short. I have never had that sensation at any gym I have since played.

Remembering the time they moved Pete to Third in 75 to make room for Foster. The young among you might find it hard to believe that Pete was not the most skilled infielder, a fact still on the minds of Reds fans who remembered some awkward moments when he played 2nd a decade earlier. My uncle happened to mention it when the news was announced. My grandpa shrugged it off. "He's got a strong chest."
