Use Dante To Turn your Mixer Into A Soundcard

Want to record a band to practice mixing later? Or do you still want a soundcheck when the band can’t make soundcheck? You need Dante Virtual Soundcard. DVS lets you turn your mixer into a soundcard for you computer, just like it was focusrite or some other soundcard. I’ve Lived the horrors of analogue recording at a live show but you don’t have to becuase I’m going to show you how to set up DVS on your computer and set everything up to make a multitrack recording.

Might sound like a silly question, but at 6:58 when you used Dante Controller to route the stage box (TX) straight to your PC as the RX - aren't you making it harder for yourself to record? As you won't have easy to use gain levels for a recording, compared to using the dLive as your TX...?

I am using a behringer x18 connected to a mini pc running dante via. Including an optional touchscreen I am still under 1000€ that is great for that many ports connected to dante.

Great vid!!~! I am still trying to figure out this issue, MBP with a usb c to ethernet adapter. Ive tried 4 diff adapters with a AV line m4250 10 port switch. any ideas

downloaded and installed it, but I can't find the trial license anywhere. I've tried many times in case I missed something, but to no avail. Uninstalled it, as it doesn't seem worth trying further. Is it actually a trial version that doesn't require a license but on the page stated to look for trial license

Is it possible to get the dante signals into DAW and output it simultaneously to analog speakers or headphones connected to the same DAW-PC?
Unfortunately I just found out how to output it into dante network again.

Thank you so much the video! SUPER HELPFUL! Question, how would I troubleshoot my DVS not properly showing within Dante Controller. It shows up within the "Device Info" tab within Dante Controller but NOT under the "Routing" tab... At the bottom of Dante controller it is showing 2 devices (Dante Card & DVS a.k.a MacBook Pro) Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
