Event insurance is also considerably more expensive for all ages events, so that's another reason why the venue would charge way more.

I was worried at first I wasn’t gonna be able to get into the show being two years short, but I’m glad to know it’s an all ages show. Thanks guys ❤

I get the reasoning of the venues in that they need the income to keep going & putting on gigs in the first place, but also think it's such a shame that the excess costs go to the bands/artists so often.. live music is so important for us all imo 🫂😢

Great on you guys for striving to keep doing all ages shows when you're able though, sooo much respect & love to you for that (& the rest of course!) 😁🙌 xx

That’s crazy that a venue can make that much money just off of alcohol, like to cover the difference between an adults show and an all ages show is sooo crazy

I typically avoid all ages shows because sometimes what can unfortunately happen is parents some of the kids complain about me simply being gay and or transgender in a place with kids and unfortunately it lens me and trouble with the police

I was extremely happy to find out your Saskatoon show was going to be all ages. My son is into metal but is 15 and has never been to a concert. I bought tickets when I found out I could take him. Yay! I’m also excited because he’s autistic and had never really shown interest in going to a concert. He’s looking forward to putting in ear plugs to attend his first show. 🤗

And I bet there are other costs we as audience don't know about but are essential when you want to play live.

It's honestly disheartening to see that playing concerts is that expensive for the bands. I totally get why some smaller acts can't afford that. 😢

i think its still a good move for you guys, you probably have a LOT of the younger generation following you so even with the extra price tag the pay off will be fans that will have memories they take into adulthood with them and you might just become their nostalgia band that they stand by forever :)

Dude in France I’ve been to my first metal show at 14yo maybe. America is so restrictive :/

Why aren't they selling juice or other non-alcoholic beverages, they do in almost all concert venues in many European countries.

In which country does this apply? I don't know the concept of all ages shows. In Germany you can bring your little kids, teens whatever and still drink your beer. The older teens can also drink one with you 😂

the money earned from selling beer at a thrash metal show could cure world hunger

Shouldn't the venue be hiring you since you're bringing them money?
