This gives me chills.... like pumping air past a corpse's repaired vocal cords to find out what their last dying screams for help sounded

9:41 that echo truly shows her cries that night

This is TRULY incredible. Those whistles sat at the bottom of the North Atlantic for 87 years. YET, they still survive. The truly extraordinary thing about Titanic is that we all who admire and love her, keep her alive through our passions. Incredible.

Those whistles are truly beautiful to hear. Words cant even describe. Thank you Spammals for posting this.

How in the hell did I not know this happened back in 1999? This is hauntingly beautiful.

I though people were exaggerating when they said it sounded like a crying voice, it's truly haunting how true it is, a sad voice, still fighting even after all these years.

Now just imagine this with steam pressurized air instead of just compressed air. Would have been full throated and much louder.

This is still something to behold and sends a shiver down my spine.

Her voice. TITANIC died so young - never got to "prove" herself to the world. Maybe that's why she sounds so sad. :^( RIP Titanic

This actually made me cry to actually hear her. It almost was as though she were crying across time. Thank you so very much for post this, Spammals

The sounds of this whistle, she’s crying out. She wants her crew back. She wants her passengers back. She wants to breathe, yet again.

It's the sound of mourning, out of despair. Its just a whistle....but its much more than that now.

Wow... I personally find this to be quite chilling, but Im completely awestruck. What a piece of history! I cant imagine the privilege to be able to work with something of that magnificence. And its even more special because like many of you im sure: the titanic has been something I have been fascinated and obsessed with as a kid, and it never dies down. I find that there is always something new to be learned or seen, and it keeps me coming back more obsessed each time. Excellent video, thanks for uploading this, Spammals!

Someone has to recreate these beautiful whistles, from the original blueprints and with the same bronze it was made in. then blow them on steam and hear her voice sing again

Great video, thanks for posting. Breaks my heart that this beautiful lady will one day be totally gone. Her voice is sad but beautifully haunting.

I saw this video two years ago and felt nothing. I was listening for information, I was listening to hear what Titanic sounded like. In James Cameron's book about his 1997 film, he says he went on three dives to Titanic's wreck. He stated that it wasn't until the third dive that he let Titanic speak to him. And he said it made all the difference in the world. I watched this again today. I'm a high school boy. I'm at the age where I'm not supposed to feel anything. I feel no shame saying I cried hearing Titanic's voice. It is a powerful sound. But you can hear her dying. It's as if she gets weaker with each sounding, even though each is louder than the last, you can hear her struggle. Everyone, I beg of you: if you rewatch this, let Titanic in. It will make a world of difference.

9:44 that resonance after the whistle blast. Chills every single time.
