My favorite reoccurrence of the cabbage man was when Sokka was reading the Ember Island Players flyer that included “a surprisingly knowledgeable cabbage merchant” in their “resources”

To be honest, I'm really glad they kept his character around! The Cabbage Merchant had a rough three seasons of Avatar during the 100 year war, and yet is the epitome of perserverance! He eventually settled down, creating a restaurant business before creating an empire of mobile vehicles! Plus, the iconic catchphrase: MY What's not to love about this guy? ^^

People often also tend to leave out that he was a consultant to the Ember Island Players for "The Boy from the Iceberg", credited as "A surprisingly knowledgeable cabbage merchant". He was truly the man of his time.
