This guy didn’t just operate without a license. He sought people and sold them a con. Karolinska Institutet should also be held accountable. They could have prevented this by checking his background. More people need to be held accountable when their negligence causes so much damage.

Many thanks for the story of this surgeon. The only thing I can make out of this is greed and nothing else and fake friends. It’s terrible that these patients required surgery and died not long after following surgery . This is disgusting. However the prison sentence he got was not long enough.

An appalling level of justice for victims and families. That constitutes a legal and governmental embarrassment IMO. What I would like to understand is of the patients Amy mentioned is in excruciating pain, nothing can be offered to help alleviate their suffering. In these cases, why can medicine not help with assisted end of life? It should be something 'on the table' for discussion. I find the notion of telling someone they 'must live with chronic or/and debilitating pain for the remainder of their life' heartbreakingly reprehensible. And if a loved one does assist, well, they go to jail!. Thanks Amy, I've not heard of this case, and it certainly opens the space for further questions. ❤

I have 40 years experience as an RN in Australia . It’s quite sickening how most Americans seem to ‘worship’ the term ‘Dr’ especially ‘surgeon’ as though these people are the ultimate status that a human being can possibly reach. It’s not quite as bad here but close. The Medical profession has been totally captured by Big Pharma and if most individuals have to choose being ‘doing no harm’ or complying with Corporate Medicine and maintaining their so called ‘status’ approx 95% will choose the latter ( as proven since 2021)

A larger percentage of Nurses will have the courage to speak out but the majority will still buckle. Wake up people !
