I know people like to pick on him sometimes but my respect for him has went up if he is all thats stopping Bethesda from being like many other game companies where they make games as a service.

the craziest part is, the guys that made the Project Mojave mod for Fallout 4, which takes place 6 years after the first New Vegas, were hired by Bethesda. Which is very interesting

My biggest concern is with fallout new Vegas, I truly hope they don’t make a D1ck move like what we got with gta when they pulled the originals off the market and left us with a even worse version, at least now I can play the digital version with no bugs on the xbox series s, vs having to play the vault 3 lower sections and the bos sections on the 360 before going back to enjoying the Xbox one.

I wonder if a Fallout 1 and 2 remake will ever happen

(Edit: To clarify, when I say remake, I do NOT mean a remake in the vision of what we have now with the franchise, the FPS/TPS style. I mean like a Wasteland 2 or 3 style remake. They should stay true to the originals but also making it an entirely fresh and more in depth experience that can be enjoyed by all fans and even newcomers to the franchise)

New Vegas was originally conceived as a dlc for Fallout 3 but then Todd felt that it would be better as it's own, full game.

My two-bits as a corporate comms guy. The insights from "Decado" strike me as exactly like what a low-level worker bee -- think someone who wasn't out of school yet when Fallout 4 dropped -- might say. Everybody in the world who could get away with it in that office decamped to someplace else. And not just there -- everybody in the entire Greater DC region, across all industries and all of government. And, oddly enough, productivity by all measures went UP. And by all measures -- I mean hard, empirical evidence. Milestones. Dollars. Hours. Whatever metrics your function or department cares about. And the only people who cared are the people who 1) lost their jobs -- a whole lot of solid facilities and admin people. People who everybody loved because they could fix printers or get parking or mailroom stuff done for you eventually had to move on. Low-level and unvetted people working with highly confidential or sensitive business stuffhaven't had the same lax work arrangements. But the main thing that's BS is that the death of the CEO and senior leadership changes have had an impact on the creative side. There's just so much distance between that part of the org chart and the sausage making that might cause a delay on release. Microsoft has got them the resources they need. The creatives are cooking. They don't need to know about how discussions around marketing spend this fall and other outside-the-kitchen decisions.

I can't even imagine any experience at 30fps in a modern game... this not only makes for a poor visual feel, but it will also wreck response times on anything multiplayer. Might as well be a game based on killing players that warp around.
