The Bethesda Showcase Leaks Are Getting ABSURD

Today we look at the latest Bethesda and Xbox showcase leak which seems to suggest Avowed is coming this year and Starfield will have an epic new trailer.

Releasing an Obsidian game *earlier* than intended doesn’t seem like a good idea for polish’s sake.

I feel like developers and publishers don’t understand that marketing your map size doesn’t work anymore because it just means that it’s unfortunately going to fall into every open world trope of big map with nothing to do or big map with busy work.

I never believe these things but I think it’s one of the funnest parts of the news cycles to hear a bunch of crazy rumours on the run up to what is usually e3. As long as I don’t let my hopes get up it’s a really fun part of the hype for game showcases

I wonder how much companies use intentional "leaks" as a marketing tool and even as a pre-development tool for gauging potential interest for various features and prompting feedback and design ideas before investing in developing them. They would be very good for both of these if managed well.

Remember the Starfield teaser trailer that showed the date 11-11-22, the new version will show the player banging the console and then a new date is displayed followed by an audible message that states that the thrusters are broken and need more time to fix.

Making FO1 in a FO3/NV/4 style wouldn't work that well. The world space is way larger than it is in the other games, and just the massive amounts of resources that would have to be poured into it would mean that you'd need Bethesda proper or Obsidian to work on it full time for years, and in a case like that the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Bethesda and Obsidian are now under the same roof. I can imagine Microsoft would order one of those studios to re-make the orginal games. Remakes are now popular in the gaming industry so it makes sense Fallout would get one too.

They at least need a follow up trailer for Elder Scrolls 6. Im not saying gameplay or even a CGI trailer. Just them acknowledging it and telling us about the game would be nice

I don’t think it’s the top down view that people don’t like about Fallout 1, it’s the archaic interface, and the obscure way things work.

In the age of large manuals for video games explaining how every detail worked was a passable way to do things… Now, not so much.

I think they could make a very cool Fallout 1 game that retains the top down isometric view, yet fixes all the massive gameplay mechanic issues. I’m actually excited if this is the case, Fallout games are all so similar recently, something that plays differently, and gives a cool nod back to the old fallout games, could be very refreshing tbh…

I don't believe a fallout 1 remake at Bethesda but I definitely believe a fallout 3 or New Vegas at inxile.

Id personally love to see f1 or others remade but still in the top down strat rpg style. It would obviously feel soooo much different but tweaking it a little and current tech would be a fun kickback. Idk just my opinion. Let me turn in iguana bob

I enjoy the top down isometric style of the older fallouts, but I would also enjoy a first person 3d remake even more. What really hooked me on the OG fallouts was the gameplay and quests, so if they can nail that I'll be on board 100%

I doubt Avowed is larger than Skyrim. Leonard Boyarsky and Tim Cain have previously said they prefer small open worlds due to structure and content spreading.

Honestly it seems pretty obvious to me that a FO1 remake would be isometric, remakes don't typically shift the entire perspective (and with that, gameplay) of the original game.

A fallout remake would be free money for them I'm genuinely surprised it hasn't happened yet
