Tour this bright 350-square-foot studio apartment with character and quirks! Tisha managed to set it up beautifully with a home office, a bold statement sofa, a DIY storage area, a kitchen island, and even a pole for doing pole fitness! Not to mention a classy-looking litterbox for her mean cat, Poe :)

Tisha is a nutritionist and a recipe developer, so she cooks, studies, and works from her small home in the city. You can follow and find out more about Tisha's nutrition work here:

I love how this girl loves all the weird quirks of her apartment (like the bathroom) which I feel like most people would be annoyed with. Perfect example of how attitude can change a lot :)

She could maximize her "tabletop" space if she mounted the tv on the wall, and an extended poseable mount would allow her to turn it in any direction...Just a thought.

I rent similarly tiny apartment and I can attest that creating a functional space in a rented apartment like this is quite challenging. It took me a year to figure out the best layout in my flat. The best thing for me was to have a day-bed instead of separate couch and bed. This really opened up the place and made it cosy and comfortable. I think if the flat owner in this video took away their bed and had a good pull-out couch or day bed instead, they would be able to move their work table to the living room and therefore have a little more space to move around.

Also if you are able to, use as much of the walls for storage/decorations. Tall cabinets/wardrobes can take up minimum foot space but at the same time hold so much storage. Anything to get the stuff off the ground and up where it is not in the way.

Tisha did a great job of fitting a lot of uses into one very small space without the place looking cluttered or really tiny!

I love how she made it work. It is really her little quirky home. She needs Alexandra Gater and her team to redesign her space. So much more storage space possible.

Have you considered turning the bed, wall to wall and possibly setting the dresser in front of the bed to create a divide between the sofa and the bed? The TV can swivel for either space then. Just a thought..

It's beautifully done and good use of the space. My only difference of opinion on the layout is that I would have swapped the bed and the couch. I notice that a lot of people in small apartments put the bed near the window and put the couch in a dark area. I wonder why - it seems to me that the dark area would be good for sleeping and the bright windowed area would be good for lounging on the couch, chatting to a friend, reading a book etc But maybe there is a reason why that could not be done.

She did amazing job by using a space. The apartment is very functional. I know from experience how tricky is to use small space.I used to live in studio, then 1 bdr and 2 bdr and studio is most difficult to arrange. I used to live in Toronto and Toronto has special place in my heart. Nevertheless I like space and prefer 1 or n 2 bdr to studio.

This is a cute space! It's a big plus that the kitchen is slightly separated from the living area.

Ha, I did that graph paper concept for years when I was growing up. I loved to move my furniture around.

I'd have the couch face the TV and the bed against the wall instead. Maybe a twin bed with a portable extension for overnight lovers, that can be stored underneath, instead of that queen bed. Do they make portable Murphy beds?

Two tables in the kitchen area takes up a lot of space. Maybe just one at counter height, with taller chair that can sit at it? Maybe a wall-mounted make-up station instead?

For the love of God get a full motion tilting TV wall mount so it can swivel your TV instead of having to scoot it into the direction you want every day! Plus it will free up space under the TV for other things

I never understand why, in such a small space, they don't use the bed as a couch... turn it sideways, add lots of pillows, and it's a super comfy couch, daybed, lounge place and bed at night. People spend 1000s on Roche Bobois furniture to get a couch bed!

@3:34 on the video -

if you're not using bar stools or shelving under the "pole side" of your island, then that's a big wasted area of floor space.

Your island could be 1/2 the depth (front to back) it is now. You would still have a generous amount of food prep surface, you'd have the same amount of storage underneath on the side facing the kitchen, and you would gain more floor space and more room to work out.

Love how almost everything in her apartment is white, including the cute cat and the litter box 😀
