I know this is a very odd request but could you cover the story differences between the English movie dub and the Japanese movie dub of Revenge Of The Sith? TLJ had so many things to digest, that i didn't even think about hyperspace tracking that much until now... That being said, i hope that somehow, this technology is lost with the destruction of the supremacy. It would kinda ruin the dynamic in the SW universe.

Hey Star Wars Theory I think you missed something. I'm not sure if I'm remembering this right, but in the book it talks about how the first order was actually using a new form of technology to compute the mass amounts of data for hyperspace tracking.

They used an experimental hyperspace field generator and basically put stationary computers into hyperspace, which "speeds" up the processing speed greatly. It's because of this that they can track them fairly quickly. Who would have known... Fight fire with fire. Track hyperspace with hyperspace

Remember the interdictor-class star destroyer in rebels? It creates a interdiction field and pulls passing ships out of hyperspace. That was way cooler and intimidating than tracking them in my opinion.
