Man as much as I love the nostalgia of US Amps from the 90’s, my JP34ab just can’t be beat for the price!

Nice to see an old school brand come back and not be a total abomination of what it was. Much respect!

US Amps has missed the boat= Not ALL high quality parts, should have 2 pushing, & 2 pulling fans @ the ends of ALL of their amplifiers, & have a (Bass Knob included, with voltage/clip/temperature). Even with ALL of these things added, the price should be $799 to $999 @ the MOST, not almost $1400 for the current USA-SQ442. Great review, Big D!

Still a huge fan of U.S. Amps from the 90's being that I ran them in competition, but I just can't give over the current price/watt and even nostalgia can't make up that big of a difference.

I’ve always loved US Amps. I worked for a small shop in ~1991 in Florida, and we were one of the very first to carry them. Nobody knew who they were back then!
I met the current owners about a year ago at Slamfest in Tampa. They were really nice, and we talked for quite some time when I told them I used to install their original amps way back then. I took their literature, and looked them up afterwards. Sadly, I was shocked at their pieces. I’d LOVE to buy/own/use a brand new US Amp, but even though I CAN afford it- I won’t.

Great video big D! Low ohm power output is incredible but with that low of efficiency you're generating a RIDICULOUS amount of heat! That teeny fan isn't going to do much you'll need dedicated external cooling if you're going to run the amp at those loads for any length of time. I stand behind my comment from the previous US AMPS video, unless you are an older person and have a connection to the company from back in the day or some other kind of nostalgia/loyalty to the brand, there's no reason at all to pay that price per watt

I appreciate the Uni-Fi speakers getting in on the action. Now we're getting somewhere with SQ testing!

They were the boss amps back in the day. I saw quite a few systems running those bad boys, and they really put out the power.

0:40 I love the vintage artwork. I had a couple of US Amps back in the mid 90s (I still have one of them!) and I remember the artwork in the owner's manual. There was also some artwork where the amp character was dressed like a cowboy and he was at the one ohm stable, as in a horse stable.

A sound quality beast in the right car with top end components

11:08 the fan fires through a hole in the board. The airflow comes in the side of the amp, around the metal and out the sides again, opposite side of the PCB.

BUT the placement is bad because it’s forcing air to make a 90 degree turn which it doesn’t want to do.

Man, I was a big fan of U.S. amps. I never owned one as I count afford them back in the 90's. I'm a big JL audio guy since the mid 2000's for everyday car audio. I'm a bit supposed they have a few models the market. Very pretty amps though...

0:20 A beautiful color. It reminds me of the 90s. ZR1 Corvette

Since it is CFB season, you need to do a “BATTLE FOR FLORIDA” episode and feature Florida brands ORION, DS18, JL AUDIO, and US AMPS

What gets me is that this amp is aimed at SQ, but what is SQ about it? Most guys like myself run 6 channels.when running 6 channels, 4 of those channels barely need 50 watts, while Midbass would take on the most of the power. For the price they are asking, i would rather invest my money into Zapco, Arc Audio, or Helix.

While crossovers on an amp are necessary. If you are gonna call this an SQ amplifier, get rid of the crossovers and allow full uninterrupted signal passes through due to the fact that most SQ guys run a DSP.

Overall, i do not see anything good about this amplifier or anything new brung to the table that justifies paying that price tag when i know i would get a true SQ amplifier going with a much more respected brand in the SQ category
