I'm trying to remove my doorbell for charging like the video instructs, I've removed the two screws as indicated but the unit is absolutely NOT budging. It appears to be stuck firmly in place!!! I don't want to force it but even firm pressure will not move it!! Any suggestions??

Sorry, Ring. Should of made this model with removable battery so your customers can have a backup to charge as your other models. Especially due to only installation for mine is on real Brick. No way to run wiring to it due to cosmetics around the door. Just saying. I really feel you should offer customers a trade up option (no charge) for this to your 3 or 3 pro!!!

I bought a second battery and now find out I can’t use it!. What’s the point of having a camera that has to be taken off the wall to charge?.

Just curious as to why this refreshed version no longer has a battery that can be removed/swapped from the doorbell like on previous versions? Why the need to remove the entire doorbell just to charge it?

I am looking at buying one. We have a lot of power outages, so can it be hard wired for normal use AND run on battery when the power is out

Can the USB Charge Cable be permanently connected to the RING Camera so I don't have to UN-mount the camera to RECHARGE it?

How many hours do I charge the new battery? Both lights still on after 6 hrs. Should I buy another one and try it? How dead are these batteries when they are shipped?

Left mine on the charger for over 4 hours from (44% battery left) Did not even charge it one bit. I notice there no flashing blue lights. What gives I can’t remove the battery from the ring since it’s fixed. I even replace the USB cable and the charging plug.

I also notice when I go to the app the battery source on the app and actual the ring itself don’t match up physically.

It would be helpful to have an illustration or explanation of some sort in the blue box with start up pamphlets that shows you how to remove the unit that comes already attached to the bracket. I can't be the only one that didn't know how as a first timer and it annoyed the hell outta me that there was no info on the removal until I found this video. I was going to just return this piece of chit if I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for making me feel stupid RING.

It got awfully cold in our area and our wired in ring went to 0% battery. I’m currently trying to recharge it with the cord included. Did it not charge manually due to the temps and will it recharge manually now?

So you can't install a 2nd battery? That's the only way to charge it?

Is there a way to increase the speaker volume of the doorbell? When I tested it, the audio is barely audible, and I can't find any audio settings in the app except the audio for the ringer sound. I am using the Ring Doorbell 2 (2nd generation).

Ridiculous that you have to take it down to charge it. Leaves us offline during the process. 2 removable batteries, old school. Just saying

This is fine to me and better than having to just pull the battery out and replace it because for the average person use it should last you anywhere from at least 45 days through 120 days depending again on the use. Suggest setting your motion to low if your door is in front of a road or a busy neighborhoodbecause then it might just activate the motion recording and waste battery but if you live in a quiet area where barley people pass by the front of your door, then just leave it at normal.
