TESLA PLAID NURBURGRING FAST LAP TEST!

Lap done on private track day, do not attempt laptime on public tourist day at the Nordschleife!

Here you can watch one lap in 7MIN44 BTG, we are far from the full potential of the car...
I started the lap with cold low pressure tires and so i needed 3/4kms to be in the good windows (that's why i had few slide moment at the beginning :-)
Around 5/6 secs of traffic especially the two porsches that i needed to let pass because they were faster in curve, but they made me loose time after on the straights!
Tires were also very used already with 15000kms of street use and around 10 nordschleife lap
If everything optimal a lap in 7.2X btg in normal ps4s tire would be possible and 7.1X if semi slick tires...

The battery pack became red at the end but immediately gone back to green when i gone into the paddock, this is due to one supercharger just before the lap who can cause overheating if you go straight away to the track

Mountain pass performance brake disc 400mm front rear
carbotec xp10 brake pads
rbf 660 brake fluid
forged Martian wheels in 20' 9.5 front 10.5 rear on michelin ps4s 265/40/20 FRONT 295/35/20 REAR
So something similar to the tesla track package with out semi slick and carbon ceramic brakes

The way it picks up speed is almost cartoonish!!! :p But that car needs some good semislicks...Those PS4S were hurting.... :p

The way it accelerates from 100-200 is nothing short of mind blowing..

Nice encounter with the Porsches. It shows the amazing acceleration and power of the Tesla, but also the limits of the tires and the weight costing lots of corner speed. The Plaid also badly needs a good aero package for downforce and stability. Great stuff, thanks!

Nice lap, would like to see the full potential, too! A couple of (silly?) questions: 1) what's the perfectly symmetrical 'crack' on the windscreen that comes out from the bottom at the centre and extends close to the top on the sides? 2) What's the red device mounted on the top right of the windscreen? I can't see either of these on your previous Tesla lap, uploaded in March this year. Thanks for any info!

Great footage. Thanks for sharing. I guess with semis and the track package/better brakes the Porsches would not catch you. Even the Plaid is much heavier.

Oh man! I came here thnking this was with the track pacakage, carbon brakes and slicks. Thanks for the video anyways.

Bravo Seb, je me suis régalé, excellente perf pour une voiture qui n'est pas faite pour le circuit.
Avec le pack ( pour la vitesee de pointe)et les pneus adéquates je pense que tu gagnerai beaucoup. Bravo 👍.
