This record is dedicated to the late Sir David McMurtry, who founded the company and whose legacy McMurtry Automotive proudly carry forward in everything they do.

That’s probably the most violent onboard I’ve ever seen that didn’t end in a crash. Well done Stig!

I love they have a raw, no music, 1 pov full lap, without all the editing.

The entire in car raw footage of the lap was amazing. Never stop doing that.

The low speed corners are unreal. If the track wasn’t so bumpy I’m sure there’s a couple more seconds in it

This is freaking insane! That cornering speed, I thought the Stig was going to go off track, but it sticks like it's on rails

Remember in the 80’s when to film high speed car chases they sped up the footage? This looks like that but in real time. What an amazing machine.

Just for context;
The Spéirling is 30 seconds a lap faster than a Lamborghini Murcielago.
So in a 3 lap sprint race, that fire spitting V12 bull.. would be lapped.

I can't believe how much cars have evolved in my lifetime.
The age of the fancar has arrived.

Not only was that crazy and fun to watch. But those wider wheels, wider tires and wider body looks SO good! That thing is sick!

I can not begin to thank you lot enough for providing an onboard with a normal FOV. This is the FIRST time I've seen onboard footage that allows me to see down the track to get a REAL FEEL for the speed. Thank you and what a lap! 😂 this thing is hilariously fast

First off: absolutely incredible moment for an incredible car! Second: So good to see Stig still being put to use!

In my 41 years until today, I have watched two automotive videos that raised my heartbeat. The first in 2005 (give or take) was the first video top gear did on the Veyron. The stats were unbelievable. 'The tyres will wear out in twenty something minutes at top speed, but don't worry because you'll run out o fuel in 18'...something like that. It was alien. It was brilliant.

Second was watching this car at goodwood in 2022. Watching it run made no sense. The footage looked for all the world like it was sped up.

Today, this video joins those ranks. 4 seconds quicker than a peak F1 car. Ten plus seconds quicker than the next fastest and equally impractical road car. Bloody amazing.

Didn't even look like a close to perfect lap. More to come I'd wager. Holy Crap!

That was so fast, it looked to be on fast-foward 😮

The way that thing is cornering at 3:30 is just mind blowing

The speed in the turns is mind-blowing! O_o

That was unreal. In Chicago, he just keeps turning the wheel and somehow the car just keeps turning, then he's back to full throttle with the wheel at nearly full lock and the car just rockets out of the corner. I have no idea how anyone can drive something like this... it appears to break all the rules, and feels completely impossible from the view in the cockpit. What a car... what a lap.

Saw the McMurty at full chat on the Goodwood hillclimb at FOS last year. No video does justice to how quick this thing can corner. It’s utterly mind-blowing.

Pikes Peak record is 7:57 - Roman Dumas, VW I.D. R in 2018. Max speed on the run was 137mph. Be great to see someone have a go at this in the Speirling.

I’ve never been more frightened by an onboard lap like this. Astounding!!
