I should clarify this is only advice I have personally liked/found helpful, but (as is clear from the video) I am still a beginner so please don't think I'm trying to act like some sort of authoritarian Japanese figure. I am merely relaying some cool tricks/advice/mindset things I personally found were helpful for me.

Watching this video, holy crap I suck at Japanese. Maybe don't take this advice after all...

In all seriousness I was going to be disappointed with my improvement anyway because I'm not fluent yet but I think I'm doing well for two years. I make a lot of mistakes still but at least I recognize most of them are errors. There's probably some practice I can do to mend that a bit.

However, I'm planning on studying more words and reading skills anyway lmao.
