Weber v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. (1979) Overview | LSData Case Brief Video Summar
Показать описание
State Farm is challenging a court decision granting Virginia Weber death benefits after her husband was killed in a hunting accident when a passenger accidentally discharged his rifle. State Farm argues that the North Dakota Auto Accident Reparations Act does not cover this accident because there was no connection between the operation of the car and the accident. The trial court found Weber was entitled to coverage under the Act, which provides basic benefits to anyone hurt while occupying a motor vehicle. The court must decide if the Act applies to this type of accident and if loading a gun in a car is included.
