I really tried my best to consolidate my thoughts in as few words as possible just to try it out. I know I tend to ramble a lot. What did you think? I personally like rambling on a bit more 😅.

Hey Forrest, I am an adult learner who is changing careers and I have just started classes at my local community college and changed my major to CS/IT because I really am interested in learning how to code and want to finish my degree. I have not been in school in over 25 years and I have to say that watching your channel has made this journey towards learning a completely new field much easier and your videos inspire me to continue on my journey and helped me understand what my professors are teaching me in class. Thanks for making my journey a pleasurable experience and not stressful. You are very thorough in your explanation in the topics and your energy makes me eager to continue to go foward. Thanks so much for your dedication.

MAD Respect for putting out a < 10min video. AND providing time stamps.

So the trick is to understand something and not just memorise it. I realised this quite a while ago. When you understand something you can connect the dots easier and derive/deduce one thing of another thing.

Well after watching a few videos on Feynman's technique heres how I do it now : I speak as I write.... In very simple words as if I'm explaining to somebody... And when I write I write in detail boiling down topics to as much simple words as I can.
Next, what I do is I keep these writings as my study notes and revise using them. And I make corrections and write even simpler terms wherever I can.... Advantage is whatever you study kind of gets saved: you have it in written form just the way you understood. Trouble is it gets big very easily and takes time

I believe the quote from Einstein was: "if you can't explain something simply, you don't understand it well enough."

When I was taking electronics in high school, I reasoned that if I really understood something, I could explain it to someone from ye olde days of yore. I imagined what it would be like trying to explain something to someone from 1000 years ago. Given that they could speak and understand modern English, all I had to do was start with the structure of the atom, explain how we make electricity using that, and build up from there to modern electronics, micro-electronics, and digital circuits. If I could accomplish all that without making any of the steps sound like witchcraft, I felt that I understood the topic.
