So damn true. I find this happens when youre too conscious of external stuff like what other people are doing or what they say you need to do and how you need to do it. You feel the need to proove to yourself that you can do it like just like them to protect your ego but just end up messing up the simplest stuff and you end up feeling more ashamed of yourself for these silly mistakes. Just focus on the code.

Really like these shorter videos, all the good info you'd find in a longer 10+ minute vid. I'm not joking when I say this, "just write code" is some of the best advice I've ever heard.

i also found this applies to math and physics, understanding equations and laws and what they actually mean or relate to to know which ones to use instead of just testing them one by one like a checklist

By far the best learning experience I had was with a course that first read and typed as I was reading, but at the end of the section I had to build something close to what I was copying. But ... My mind was blank. I couldn't remember things I typed moments ago. I slowed down and tried to recall just as slow, referencing the code I wrote before only if I truly got stuck.
People try too hard to be fast learners that they end up being no learners.

Theres a statistic that says that one of the highest occurences of imposter syndrome is in IT. Meaning a sh*t ton of people in IT feel like an imposter in their chosen field; feeling like everybody else is so much better and that you dont deserve the praise or to feel accomplished ultimately doubting if this is truly for you since you feel like an imposter who doesnt belong in this field. Remember: you arent alone who feels this way and its part of the process
