I agree 100% with the Macbook Air M1. I have the Air (16BG/TB) and love it. I edited one of my Matchbox Restorations yesterday with it using Final Cut Pro, no issues. It only got warm, not hot, when rendering the final 4K footage to 1080P.

I love the little gem channels like these. Just Sub’d. I love your second point which isn’t alway highlighted on bigger channels. The 13” MBP will get better next time so you should wait if you can, whereas the MBA is as good as it’s going to get for awhile so if you want that form factor, you should get a MBA over the Pro now. This is so true in my case. I don’t want the current Pro because I know this is only the first version of it and a better version is mostly likely going to come out next year whereas I can’t really say the same thing about the Air. At most, Apple will revisit the 12” MacBook but that’s still technically a different machine than the Air. All that to say, I think your point is valid. Loved the video.

Exactly what I got MacBook Air M1 512gb ssd 8 GPU and 8 of ram second tier one. I am very happy with my purchase. Today actually, I bought Apple Care for it. By the way, I hate the touch bar of the Pro easy choice for me to with the Air LOL ~~ awesome video

To be honest I wanted the air but it was sold out so I got the MB pro. Extra battery time, build quality, brighter screen, better sound and a fan just in case are not worth the extra money but are still nice to have.

It is not all about the performace. first of all MacBook pro 13 is not a "pro" laptop, they just branded pro and it has always been like that, any laptop with no dedicated GPU can not be " pro ". it is worth 250$ for these reason: the screen on MacBook pro is (100 nits) brighter and that matters if you wanna use it outside. It has way better speakers. and more importantly, its battery last 3 hours more than air, who would not want longer battery life on any also larger trackpad, but this one might be subjective.

It is the year that apple revolutionized the laptop market. If you are a professional video editor, MacBook Pro is your choice. Otherwise, get the air instead.
