The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) hiring process is designed to ensure candidates meet strict federal standards for airport security roles, particularly Transportation Security Officers (TSOs). The process generally follows these steps:

    1.    Application Submission
Candidates apply online through USAJOBS.gov by submitting a resume and answering job-specific questions.
    2.    Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Qualified applicants are invited to take the CBT, which includes two parts: an English test and an X-ray object recognition test.
    3.    Contingent Offer
If you pass the CBT, you may receive a contingent offer of employment, pending further evaluations.
    4.    Credit and Criminal Background Check
TSA conducts a thorough background check, including fingerprinting, criminal history, and credit history review.
    5.    Medical Evaluation
Applicants must pass a medical examination to ensure they are physically able to perform the duties of the role.
    6.    Drug Screening
A drug test is required to confirm the applicant is drug-free.
    7.    Airport Assessment
This in-person event includes structured interviews and additional screening. It may also include a color vision test and fingerprinting if not already completed.
    8.    Final Job Offer
Once all steps are passed successfully, TSA will issue a final offer of employment.

The full process can take several weeks to a few months. TSA looks for candidates with strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Congrats! And thanks for the info. I applied in November and passed the interview, medical, all that. Got to my fingerprints and they didn’t receive them, had to do it again. That’s where I’m at. 5 months down and applied for three different airports. If you make another video, can you tell what you took to training. Shoes etc…
