As a passenger, the biggest pet peeve is that 99.9% of TSA agents are very rude at initial contact, and that sets the bar for rude patrons..perhaps if they were less rude, they wouldn’t get disrespected!! So it works both ways!

The US needs to upgrade their scanners. In Sydney Australia, we haven’t needed to take any electronics (or liquids) out of our carry on, or remove our shoes since 2022. And our system automatically delivers the empty bins back to the top of the line for waiting passengers. Security is much quicker & far less stressful in Aus. No need for ‘pre-check’ here too.

I travel by plane 3-4 times per year; both domestically and internationally. In my experience, the security screeners (TSOs) in the US are often rude and talk down to travelers outside the US; particularly, in Europe and Latin America, security screeners have a pleasant disposition and speak to travelers respectfully.

Food over 100 ml that is normally a liquid or gel but has been frozen solid will not be allowed to pass through security in your carry-on. In order for a food to be considered a solid, it must be solid at room temperature

Yes. I always carry a portable freezer just to ensure my water is completely frozen before passing through tsa.

i work in TSA in norway, so the rules vary but here you CAN NOT freeze beverages or gels (like butter) and bring that through! at least in EU

What's the craziest thing you've seen TSA take from somebody? Trying to take Vaseline and other diaper rash butt creams from Mom's out of diaper bags with babies That would always pisses me off

My issue with TSA is their different regulations per air port. At DEN you don’t need the boarding pass. Yet MCO does. And how they want things in bins changes all the time. The no consistency drives me nuts

I recently went through tsa with my daughter for a return flight and my daughter's diaper bag got flagged in the scanner. Turns out that she had dtuck a half full water bottle she had been drinking out of in the bag when I wasn't looking and the tsa lady just tested it and let me keep it for her saying that since it was my daughter's that she couod have it. My daughter is almost 2 and she just let it slide which i was so thankful for. Apparently you can take drinks in larger quantities if it's for a child.

So yesterday a TSA agent stole my hair mousse and I explained to him that I have flown with it in my carry on 3 times without any issues. He tried to call me a liar and I wanted to curse him out so bad. He was young and arrogant. A much older experience lady with TSA did check my bag the first go round without any issues… The other two times with the same airline company didn’t even check my bag nor confiscate my mousse!
