The well scripted & acted scenes where schoolgirl Jenny Mellor is sent to Miss Walters' office upon teachers' discovery that she is being taken to Paris by an older man; then after her engagement ring is spotted by Miss Stubbs (Olivia Williams); and finally when she asks to return to school after her relationship with David Goldman (Peter Sarsgaard) inevitably ends. Based on novel by Lynn Barber, directed by Lone Scherfig.
