Google Pixel 9: The End of an Era!

The Google Pixel 9 series phones are here and it ushes in the end of an era as we look forward to Android 15 which will likely be launching in October. However, once Android 15 gets here it will onlt be or Pixel 6 phones and newer, and Google will finally have a platform of Pixel phones only running the Tensor chip, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 9 Pro will be here in a few days to complete the launch!

I didn't think much of Gemini. I figured it was whatever, like I'll never really use that. But I've been playing around with it and I gotta say I was wrong. Gemini is pretty awesome. I asked it to build me a 10 day itinerary for a vacation based on my interests and it did a really good job. It broke down every day morning to night with links to the website of the locations it was suggesting. I asked for local rooftop bars. It did that as well. Giving me a description of each location and a link to Google maps with all the locations pinned. I think Gemini is going to be super useful.

To your point of portrait mode I agree it does suck with edge detection.

Android 15 is going to bring out the best in the Pixel 9 devices. It might be the first Pixel devices that are truly optimized in terms of chipset to actually work in tandem with the OS

7 years is more a marketing campaign. I don't know anyone who keeps an android phone for 7 years. The battery doesn't hold and the capacity at the time is prob 30-40%. Not to mention, most carriers/vendors have trade-in deals yearly. At 4-5 years, users will start looking purely because hardware and battery improvement makes a difference. Glad it's there for insurance policy but not reality. Guess only time will tell.

I had not planned to buy the new Pixel 9 phone but the recycle deal for my Pixel 8 was just too good. I am currently a Google beta 15.4 tester and this is the most stable Android system I have ever used. Yes, I love my new Pixel 9 phone.

Google did officially talk about the launch, at least in the description of the beta when you try to update. It says Android 15 (stable) will not be available before October.

Pixel Studio is OP. I made a couple of videos using the software lol. I pretty much use a tablet or a computer when I am at home. This phone changed it for me. Now I use this phone a little more than I use my tablet now.

One pixel uses tsmc and catches up with snapdragon gen 3 and apple bionic chips there wo won't be any stopping for these pixels.
They can then go balls on walls with apple. Oh boy they have come a long way from the pixel 6 series. From front face unlock to premium design to better fingerprint scanner to better software support to faster charging to premium displays to no heat and better battery life. Excited for the final step in this pixel project next year with pixel 10 seeies

Btw, I subscribed. Did an exchange yesterday for the 128gb to the 256gb. It’s only 100 dollars more. It was 599$ for the 128gb and 699$ for the 256gb. As soon as the 256gb comes in I have to send the 128gb back to them.

I've seen some reviewers testing the Pixel 9s along with the S24 Ultra.. I had no idea the s24 Ultra throttled and even shut down under hard gaming.. Have you seen this?

A week later my battery is crap! Currently on 21% . Been off charge since 6:30 this morning. Average day really. Just checked, only 4 hours 50 mins of screen on time. Hope it gets better.

I ordered my Pixel 9 pro within the first hour and have a delivery date of September 17th-24th There's a huge demand for them and I think they're gonna need to ramp up production. The smaller pro is going to outsell the XL

My 8 pro battery life was incredible after adaptive kicked on. 9proxl in my second day still not matching it but hope will after adaptive does his thing.
