Upgrading an HP pre-built PC to Ryzen

The rebuilding of a 10 year old HP into something made for this decade.

Old build:
AMD Phenom II 830
16GB DDR3 RAM
RX 460 4GB GPU

New build:
AMD Ryzen 3 1200
16GB DDR4 RAM
RX 460 4GB GPU

Nice, I have a dell studio xps socket 1156 first gen i7 from 2009. I just did the free upgrade to windows 10 a couple days ago, windows 10 is working great. I'm using it for an ftp server.

I'd be wary of anything beyond 3600 on that board but why would you use a $35 board with $300+ cpu
