This video is a god send. I had in my head I was wearing an internally threaded hoop with a ball, kept trying to unthread before seeking help online. Clicked on a few earing removal videos before finding this and yep, the reason it would unscrew is because it is a captive bead piercing. I had no idea, as the piercer didn't say, and silly me just assumed. Thanks so much.

You’re a a lifesaver! One of my earrings had gone really discoloured and tried to visit my piercer who was really busy. I already had some pliers as I’ve got a few piercings and didn’t realise it was as easy as just applying pressure to the hoop and stretching it out! Thanks so much!

had my lower helix pierced by a professional with a captive bead ring.... he told me if I wanted to change it, that I should get pliers to get it out... he had to switch to another captive bead because he couldn't get the original in at the time of the Also, thank you for the video! looks easier than what it may seem

This video really helped me. I got a conch piercing earlier this year and I wanted to figure how to take ring out because I play sports and can't wear it while playing. It's safe to say that I'm going to wear a stud for awhile so I don't spend a lot of time struggling with the ring because this took me awhile😂

ok so my ear has gotten infected and the doctor suggested taking it out and i managed to get the ball out but the opening isn’t big enough to get it off my swollen ear. i also can’t go into a piercer to take it out. what do u suggest? can i open the loop more or??

I dont know if you'll see this but I'm having such a hard time making a bigger gap in my CBR, not even pliers are separating it. I need it changed for work and college, the ball is out but the gap isn't big enough, no piercing studios will take it out for me

I have this type of hoop on my lower forward helix that I have to remove for a surgery next week. Usually I go to a piercer to get it taken out, but under the current circumstances I can't right now lol. Because its in such a tight spot on my ear I can't really grasp it to even attempt to take it out, any tips?

So I had my cartilage pierced with one of those before this quarantine 💀 and i think it’s rejecting cuz it’s over growing so I have to get the piercing out but having a hard time getting it out🤦🏻‍♀️
