Woke up at 3:30am to blinding pain from my helix piercing which has never been changed for a year. Tried unsuccessfully to twist and unscrew the ball for several minutes in bed. Woke my partner crying and begged her to try until she finally gave up from twisting the bead for several minutes. Was crying in pain in the bathroom and reading everything telling me to “just unscrew it!” Why does everyone talk about the screw mechanism and not the pressure?? I pulled it apart while pushing the ball and it came off immediately. So much relief. Was able to wash it out with dial gold and am finally about to go to bed. My ear is swollen like a balloon but I am so grateful that I can finally breathe. You are a lifesaver dude

I got my helix done with a ring. I didn't know you needed to twist the ring. I was struggling to pull my ear through that little gap, ripping up my newly healed piercing. Blood and pain. Ugh. My helix was so painful until about December 2020 (I got it done in March 2020).

My daith also was fussy for about a year, mainly because I was trying to get good at changing my jewelry (aside, clickers for daith are the best. Hinge seam rings cut up the inside of my piercing and those cute daith hearts are difficult to twist close and stuff). Took about a year for it to be constantly happy.

Literally thank you so much for this video!!! I’ve had a Tragus in for months but it didn’t set well due to having to wear ear plugs every day and I just wanted it out. Your video is the only way I think I would have gotten it out without admitting defeat and going to the piercer haha

I got captive bead jewelry for my septum at Spencer's and I can't twist it open at all... I even tried with pliers and it was still difficult, I ended up opening it but not enough to put it in my septum.. I'm really sad bc it's my fav style of septum jewelry

Is it the same process if it’s already in your ear? I have to go for a MRI and many of the piercing shops near me are closed right now or limited hours due to Covid, so I really need to remove the ring in my tragus myself and then put it back in after. ( I’ve had it for like 20 years, but always have a piercer swap the jewelry for me).

How do you take off the hoop if it won’t twist? I’ve gotten the ball out but the gap in the ring still isn’t big enough to take out

I've heard stories of the beads falling out and getting lost, especially for piercings that are "downstairs". What is your advice of captive bead rings versus fixed captive bead rings?

This is all well and good but how on earth do I get the damn tiny hoop out of my tragus, I've got the beads out. But the hoops just go round and round and there's not enough room between to slide the ring out at all... I've been trying all day, I've been searching for videos and help and there's nothing stating or showing how to get it out of the tragus, , I've given up but can't put the beads back on soo.

Hi Scott the Titanium i know is really more heavy to bend, what kind of material we using here ore is it still titanium but its processed ? :)
