Pregnant waitress receives $1,300 tip for Christmas

This is the incredible and heartwarming moment showing how waitress Ashley Barrett received a surprise $1,300 tip from customers who were dining at the Stonybrook Family Restaurant located in York, Pennsylvania on December 10.

With over 4 million views on TikTok, Jamie Carmen, the customer carrying the conversation on video with Ashley, can be seen handing her the wad of cash.

Carmen told Newsflare that he and his friends chipped in for the gesture and that Barrett is expecting her second child.

I use to drive a truck over the road for a long time. I was in a cafe in Nevada and my waitress was dead on her feet. After making conversation she revealed that she was a 22 year old new momma of a 2 month old baby boy. The father ran for the hills. She had been on shift at that time 12 hours. My own mother was 21 when she had me and my biological father abandoned us too. I couldn’t help but think was my own mother at one time. Struggling but still standing. I used my credit card to pay and left her a $25 tip and the $40 cash I had in my pocket. She was such a humble girl when I handed her the $40. She asked if I wanted change? I said no…you handed me two twenties sir. I know. I told her to buy her son something nice. With tears in her voice and eyes she said my mom texted me and we needed formula. That was going to take all my money. I smiled and quietly left to hide my tears.
