Ok so as a single mother with issues can someone please tell me how to fix the issue instead of just telling me it is an issue!? I know it is an issue I am trying to find advice on what to do about it?

I had both my parents, but my father was not very emotionally involved and often emasculated by my mother, and well my mother was such a devil.

The boys of single mothers win the Oedipal struggle. They get mommies to themselves. This is a struggle boys are better off not winning. (Of course this is a gross oversimplification, but at its core, the father teaches the boy who learns to identify with him in order to find and keep and protect his own woman one fine day.)

Is this only for boys? Or girls too? I think it really depends on the mother. My mom raised me alone but we didn't struggle, well... at least she never made it seem like so. She didn't have any issues that I could see potentially as bad, maybe that dhe didn't let me do sleepovers but now that I'm an adult and with kids thats like... not in my list of things for them to do either.
Once I turned 19 she did behaved much different, suddenly selfish, controlling, I guess she was going through an invisible depression.
But now that I have my own family's, seeing how my daughter behaves and son with a father figure it's very different from how I grew up. I can't pinpoimt what it is but it does make me proud.

My childhood best friend had a single mother who never told him "no". He ended up attempting suicide by cop - he held a knife to his grandmother's throat and demanded they shoot him. So yea this checks out

Gee whiz... Can't you ever say anything that can make a person go VOILA!...there's the answer to all life's problems.
You don't have it or have them. You say things that are OBVIOUS.
