Demand for face masks spikes after Singapore govt releases new guidelines

Demand for face masks has spiked by up to 11 times for some shops in Singapore, after the government urged people to use masks with better bacterial filtration capabilities to protect against new COVID-19 strains. Livinguard, which makes reusable masks, said it can ramp up production even further to meet demand. At least one lab that is authorised to conduct bacterial filtration capability tests on masks said it is already getting more requests.

Not only masks, when we are out and about, keeping our hands clean by using hand sanitizers whenever we touch public objects is also crucial. I’ve to admit I stop using hand sanitizers but I make sure to wash my hands with soap regularly.

There are lots of 'surgical mask' made in China. I'm apprehensive to buy these. The Chinese made products are not renown for quality and safety. So, but those made in Singapore or those tested like those donated by Ho Ching.
