-- Video Presentation Tips: 3 Steps to Reduce Takes and Save Time --

Working behind the camera, I’ve seen quite a few AMAZING presenters able to absolutely nail their presentation in just one take… I’ve also seen a ton MORE that need a lot of takes to get their message across.

I’m definitely one of the latter. As much as I hate to admit it, there’s been times where even a short 5 minute weekly video has taken me upwards of an hour and half (90 minutes!) in footage! This still happens from time to time, but whenever it does I realise it’s only because I didn’t follow my usual 3 steps for presenting…

I know there’s a lot more people out there like me that struggle on camera, so we put this video together to let you know you’re not alone (it’s normal!) but also to give you 3 presentation tips for saving time and shooting in less takes.

I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Love it! I appreciate your tip about not being flawless. You're right. It can add a bit of personality. The more I realize that, the more can relax and just do a good job and enjoy it more too. Less pressure = more fun.

Ooh I think we got a bonus tip in there! 4. Not having to nail every take 100% & it's ok to have stumbles/ flaws - YES! Sometimes it can take me an hour to record 1/2mins of audio for my podcast... 🙊 how embarrassing! Working on it 🙌🏽

I can totally relate to EVERYTHING you said and I'm glad to have watched this at this time because I was procrastinating about making a video that I know for sure will help other people, but I'm so caught up on my hang ups. I constantly tell myself to get over myself it's not about me it's about the audience 😂😂😂. Thanks again.

Thanks, simple but incredibly valuable advice. I think a 3-act structure also serves presentation type of videos well, which you're doing here with the end summary. I'll keep it in mind for my own videos.

Another magnificent video Justin! I have yet to let down by your content, and don't expect to be! Thanks for the humility, you don't want your Subscribers to make the same mistakes that you did early on, that's very cool! Keep the videos coming, stay encouraged, and be well Justin!

Thanks Justin! I really need to structure my videos better from now on. I have been shooting so many videos and ending up with so many takes again and again! This in turn causes the editing to take longer as well! Thankfully I have learnt to be relaxed during the process and your great reminder - no need to be perfect, don't stress or pressurize yourself! THANKS!
And at the end, when you spoke about the traffic noise, etc, I can relate to it so much! Many of my takes are due to the background noise! I guess you use background music to cover those noises! What's the music you used and where to get those copyright free music?

Great point Justin I know what you mean when you say its " ridiculous and demoralizing " It even acts as a deterrent to get something ....anything.... shot as you agonize over getting it " right " :-( Regards Russell

how did you do that?
that thing, when another video comes on the screen, n when I tap it, it leaves me to that another video. n when I tap to your photo, it leaves me to the channel...that's amazing...
please tell us, how to do that
