I will never get tired of seeing british people try any food that isn’t their own and go “this is the best thing I have ever had”

I read an article once called, 'In Defense of Beige Foods'....or something like basically talking about how sometimes the best and most comforting things in life aren't colorful or 'insta ready'. It's not necessary when it comes to food for the soul~ It was a great article!

As someone from where biscuits and gravy comes from, I'm overjoyed one of our main southern hospitality dishes is a "life changer".
Love from across the pond❤

There is just something very comforting about biscuits and gravy. Like a warm hug on a rainy day

I love this- I work in Alaska in the summers during the tourist season. Every morning I started Bread tutorials to our foreign friends. Trying to convince Brits that they would love Biscuits and gravy, and it’s not what they were thinking. Same with Frech toast not be the same as Eggy bread. Not even close. Then the Aussies would come in -lol. Loved every moment

As someone from the southeastern US it warms my heart to see folks from other countries enjoy our food like this 🥹

I love to see the smile on people's face when they try Southern comfort food for the first time. It really warms the heart

Its great to see other cultures try something I have had since I was a tiny tot. I am glad you are at least giving it a try instead of immediately writing it off.

I’ve been lucky enough to try real American southern style biscuits and gravy while visiting New Orleans and I’m telling you, there is no real comparison to anything we have here in the U.K. It’s delicious, especially with a side of alligator sausage (which isn’t actually sausage shaped- it’s shaped like a burger patty). With a glass of cool, creamy brandy milk punch to wash it down with, it’s the most heavenly brunch I’ve ever eaten in my life. If you ever visit New Orleans or any southern state like Mississippi or Alabama or Georgia, make sure you try their breakfast spots and soul food spots- some of the best food you’ll ever have. I dream of going back all the time to continue my food tour I started nearly 10 years ago!

Biscuits n gravy are a very special thing. An any time of day type of thing. A ‘makes a bad day better’ kinda thing.

You guys have inspired me, I’ve tried some British food because of you guys. The full English breakfast (without blood sausage, I tried that then I was in England as a kid.) is great! I now eat beans on toast with eggs pretty often

that’s remarkable about this recipe is true southern biscuits and gravy is made using only flour butter milk and sausage and that is EVERYTHING. of course you need some seasonings but you make the biscuit dough the night before and you bake the biscuits brown the sausage in a cast iron skillet use the grease left over in the pan along with butter and flour to make your sausage turn into sausage gravy then you just pour it over the top. it truly is the simplest thing to make it’s just a labor of love
