I believe that people abusing censorship are going to lead to the children to get curious and they'll end up finding about it anyway later in their lives.

Misty: These rice balls are delicious.
Brock: Well westerners call it rice balls, but I hear that in Japanese culture they are called onigiri. It's a commonly known dish in Japan that could easily become more popular in western culture through mainstream mediums such as animes which can help teach westerners about Japanese culture during a time when-
4Kids: How dare you enjoy Japanese delicacies, that's just as unlawful as using firearms, inflating breasts and referencing themes of slavery in these children cartoons.
Brock: Uhhh ... did I say onigiri *4Kids glares at Brock* I-I meant ... jelly-filled donuts.
4Kids: Good and while we're at it, you're off the show for a season for some guy who draws Pokemon ... and that's about it.
*An explosion occurs in the background*
Mewtwo: Sorry, I was just murdering my creators for bringing me into this world and labelling my very existence as a clone of Mew.
4Kids: It's all good, we've done worse ... *picks up a VHS copy of the One Piece anime* much worse then mass-murder.

In the Pokemon Black and White Series, for some weird reason they made Ash and co. call apples *berries, * which is utterly bogus because apples were nothing to censor for.

I remember watching the "Jelly Doughnut" scene as a kid and going: "For God's sake Brock, OPEN YOUR EYES. They're rice cakes" 😂

Whoever is in charge of censorship needs to get fired.

Lenora's design was not altered in the games. She appears, apron and all, just as she is in the Japanese version.

Source: I own the freakin' games!

America: We don't want kids handling pointed stars or matches or kinder eggs.

Also America: Here kid, have a gun.

3. Do I hear "Top 10 Dumbest Anime Censorships?" Speaking of which, a similar incident happened in a later episode where a giant rice ball was replaced with a sandwich.
