The Texas Public Policy Foundation released Episode 2 of its “Patient’s First” animated video series highlighting new solutions to provide affordable healthcare for millions of uninsured Texans. It addresses a common misconception that the majority of people without insurance lie in the so-called ‘coverage gap.’ Research shows in Texas those is the gap make up a small percentage of the uninsured. Instead, the vast majority of the uninsured are those who have access to low- or no-cost insurance but choose not to take it.

Several solutions to addressing the problems of the uninsured passed with bipartisan support during the most recent Texas legislative session.

Concierge medicine, direct primary care, or cash clinics are all examples of patient-centric healthcare. Paying into these memberships can grant you access to your primary care physician 24/7 for routine medical needs.

A plan like this coupled with a health share program works great.

Sounds great! Kinda like it used to be back when I was insured. I am uninsured now mostly because I don't need it. I stay away from doctors, especially since the lies of 2020 and covid. I find the medical industry very untrustworthy.
