Scoring System
Here is a breakdown of my scoring system.
I use a 1-10 Scale with decimal points.
The decimal is to give you an indication of how close this game is to being in the next tier level. Please note that the higher we get up the scale the heavier the weight of the score.
a 9.4 and a 9.3 are weighted heavier than an 8.2 to an 8.5. This means it is more difficult to go up the higher you go in scores. Also note: These scores are subjective to what I feel at the time of scoring. Scores can change over time and feelings and opinions shift and change.
--------------------------
10 - A "Perfect" Game. This is a near-impossible score to achieve. These games will score a Platinum award.
9 - Excellent. I wouldn't question having this in my collection These games will score an Excellence Award. Slight issues in the game, but minor.
8 - an Amazing Game. Some issues, the gameplay is great and would love to have it in my collection. Games scoring at least 8.5 will be given a Recommended Award.
7 - A Good Game. - This Game hits on a lot of positive points for me but has some drawbacks that hold it back from being a Great/Amazing game. The gameplay also starts to waiver in terms of who might like this style of game.
6 - An Ok Game - Average score for games. Gameplay is fun and wouldn't mind playing, but not something I'd want in my collection.
5 - A Decent Game - Bottom Tier of Average games. The gameplay is lacking and not engaging enough. "Take it or leave it"
4 - A Poor Game - This is a game that I just can't recommend. The gameplay isn't engaging or rulebook issues make tabling an issue. Not good, but might play again.
3 - Bad - A unenjoyable experience. I won't play this game again.
2 - Very Bad - It's worse than Bad.
1 - Awful - This has to be a joke on the players.

Good call on Oros! It's a beautiful game, communication was probably the best I had ever had during the kickstarter campaign, and it's a fun and challenging game to add to my collection.

Very nice review! Will back this one for sure! It's nice to see that players can choose to specialize their demigod by spending wisdom points in different abilities. I'm just wondering if all approaches could really be viable though. I guess after a few plays you might discover THE way to win? The automas also seem to be very nicely designed and easy to manage. The whole campaign was also great with some cool unlocks. Nice video!

Didn't influence my decision, but agree with everything you've said. Collector's edition sounds amazing.

Darn you! I had written this game off, because of how it implements two-player. Now I have to re evaluate everything. Thanks. Great job on the review!
