Currently Interning as a chef and I can’t explain enough, how frustrating it is to have to clean up messes you didn’t make after. Clean as you go is the best tip!

Vinegar is so true. I used to add lemon juice to leftovers to freshen it up. Really improved it

Clean as you go is the best thing a beginner cook needs to learn. When your work station is a mess, chances are the food you’re making is as well.

The sturdy Board is my favorite tip. I place a cloth under my board to level it out and it keeps the board from sliding all over the table. Learned this from an awesome Chef I worked for at a Hotel. There were many others but this one has served me well at home.

Sauce work is the greatest thing to learn in a kitchen and I totally agree with adding some acidity to most things.

You people are amazing. I've been telling customers in our grocery store about you and how helpful these educational films are, probably over 20 folks. Amazing content. Thank you. Too many channels/short clip amateurs gatekeep necessary details and helpful technique. You folks actually show how restaurants SHOULD be run. Here in Chicago, the difference in culture can be tangible felt in the spaces atmosphere. Like in the video reviewing movies, you're right about that fact, a cool collective energy goes along way in maintaining happy employees. Livable wages for all positions too, above all else. Trust me, I've never felt so abandoned for hard work, fully employed fully impoverished rn, diving back into construction for survival. Subsiding wage should be illegal here. Anyway, cheers from across the pond.

Clean as you go has been a lifesaver as a uni student especially. It’s so simple, but it just works.

My beginner chef tip:
- Use the correct knife for the task at hand.

My medium chef tip:
- Cooling racks are your friend both before and after the oven.

My more advanced chef tip:
- People appreciate when you get it 85% right but on time more than they appreciate you getting it 100% right and 30 minutes late.
