Let's be honest. The look of the water is far from being realistic.

The sheer fact that you've managed to bring software based ray tracing to current gen consoles in any capacity is quite impressive. Good work.

Crysis Remastered needs to work more with reference photographs rather than pure technology. The tech is awesome, don't get me wrong, but it requires artistic excellence to get right. Slapping on ray-tracing on water, doesn't make water "realistic". Just look at search for tropical ocean photographs... It rarely reflects the surrounding. it can take on a color tint of the surrounding, but mostly the sky color and the highlights refracted from the sun, nothing more.

My PC can't even run this video in full quality

Look at the reflection of the light behind the fighter jet at 0:25. It disappears at the the same time the Light source isn't visible any more. I bet this is just screen space reflection.

Okay, looks alright.
But where is the 4K all the bells and whistles PC footage that will melt our new RTX 3080's.
Does CryEngine still mean best of the best?

It's amazing that you guys managed to make it work on console.
But you can also see why raytracing and svogi weren't on last gen/current gen consoles. The visual benefit is small in comparison to the performance hit.
I hope you make it optional and the game has a stable 1800p60 mode or so. The Switch port was competent.

Brutal honesty here. This looks like utter crap, its definitely no "remaster", more like a patch 13 years later. I mean look at those rocks, they look exactly like the ones in 2007 when the game came out. and the ray tracing is like adding makeup to a 100 year old lady, will look slightly better, but the old features will still show.

Plans for this game to come on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series x/s

I think we shouldn't expect much improvement graphically, because it isn't an easy task to improve with the amount of textures that the original game had.

Crytek proved that you don't need an RTX card for getting ray tracing, although you still need a pretty powerful one, but if you have an High end AMD card, you are probably fine.

Ok so I see there's a lot of confusion based on some comments and the amount dislikes this video has. This is the CURRENT gen console version, the PC is still a work in progress because that's one is the one that's going to be bringing more than just the Ray-Tracing. This isn't that.
Much of what's shown here is actually impressive, it's a monumental feat because this is the only game on CURRENT gen consoles I've seen implementing RT Tech. I really wish more people would actually read the title before leaving dislikes to something this groundbreaking...

Alter Falter.
