I'm so thankful I never separated my two litter-mates, they've never spent an hour apart from one another and they still do absolutely everything together.

The happiness of living with a cat can be energizing in many ways. Some people may say that the presence of a cat has made them more expressive and active than when they are alone, and some owners may say that they are able to work harder because they want to go home early and romp with their cat.💖💖💖💖😻😻😻😻😻😻

I have two cats from the same litter and they were very close even as adults, sleeping, eating and hunting together. One cat broke it's leg and had to go away for surgery for a couple of weeks. When he returned and saw his sister he went running up to her. She did not seem to recognise him though and her hackles raised and she hissed and spat at him. Her brother looked devestated by her response. It took a week or two, but she eventually accepted her brother back and they are as close as ever again.

I’ve had a whole family. But over the years the father passed away first. And I had 3 siblings and the mother. But now. Just down to the mother and one son. They’re 12 and 11 now. But at least they all grew up together. I still have 2 other cats but like you said they don’t get along with the mother and son too much. They like to stay outta each other’s way. Lol

I had a brother sister Persian kittens.. my aunt took one away after around 2 months .. they both went Berserk crazy once they met after around 15 months of separation ..and then I kept both together because they both literally went into depression once my aunt went back to her home.. I’d to drive around 290 miles with mine and got his sister back.. Sometimes people simply assume that being animals and stuff, the bond isn’t as strong as humans usually have ..
I believe like Humans, animals Adapt to such changes and since they can’t talk to us about it, assumptions are made that it doesn’t matter to them or that it affects them pretty strongly too ..

I’ve had two cats together before, but this is the first time I’ve had siblings with my 6 month old brothers. The attachment is amazing, where other have tolerated and maybe played with each other these two are like glue. Normally as one cat passes I’ve gone down to a single cat household not wanting to upset the cat that remained. However, when my now wife and I moved in together I had an 18 year old female who lived to be 20 and my wife had 14 year old male who lived to be 22. They got on really well for the two years they were together yet they had different personalities. I weaned my female as she had been abandoned too early, I was always her mum and she would sleep un the crook of my arm (until she fell in love with my wife). My wife's male saw me purely as his servant though in his last 14 months he appreciates me as his care giver (my wife is hemiparuplegic and cat care sometimes requires two arms).

I would guess they would recognize on smell first. My mama cat Gigi had 5, 3 were adopted together, mom and 2 are with me. Years later I went to visit and pet my babies before I went. Her 3 boys went crazy for mom and brothers smell.

One of the many feral/semi-feral cats we had been feeding came into our home four years ago and had three babies under one of our beds. We ended up keeping all of them and so thankful we did. Our little family has been such a comfort and joy! After losing our last furkid, we hadn’t planned on getting anymore pets of any kind but I guess the cat Gods were laughing and had other plans for us.😻

I have two completely unrelated cats. They fought and expressed hostility a lot at first. Now they cuddle most of the day and only play-fight occasionally. I consider them basically brothers now.

Recently, I put two unrelated cats together, 14 yo and 15 yo females. They more or less ignore one another unless they happen to be competing for my attention. I'm glad that they didn't make war on one another. At times, I"ve seen them sleeping in my living room, not together, but sharing the large space, one on the sofa and the other in my recliner.

I can attest that siblings have a strong bond. My Jerry and Kramer are inseparable.

My cat seemed to recognize his sister ! They played together for months after separation till her people moved away! If it wasn't recognition they sure had a special bond! Would they recognize each other after 3 years of separation I don't know?

THANK YOU 😊 ! This explains why two brothers together from birth for three years started hiss growling w fighting after being apart for two months. Both cats recognize and respect their mom. Thought they’d be happy to reunite but I had to separate them 🥴

I adopted a Lynx point Siamese male. His sister became homeless five years later so she moved to live with her brother. They did seem to recognize each other and got along well from the first minute. They did the rub cheeks thing first thing.

We’ve had our 2 boys since birth and they’ve always had a strong bond even being a liter apart. They’re usually chilling next to or around each other

I have sister and brother cats since kittens. They're 2 years old and fixed. The male always finds a way to seem like her kitten. Not trying to nurse but she Has to groom him sometimes because he doesn't always groom. He didn't groom himself at all as a kitten and other things she does on his behalf. They also interact a lot more than other cat pairs we've had

I saved my little cat from outside and I believe he was lost. I had seen his mother for years and she had 3 litters of 5 . He was in the last litter and the only survivor, as all the others were eaten or killed by other means. This means no blood siblings left for him...I am the closest thing to that.
