I had a Male cat who lived to 20 years. He was a big boy too. His head was the size of a grapefruit!!! He was about 3ft. Long and weighed about 30-35lbs. He looked like a Russian blue. But he had gold eyes. And he was the most loving cat you could meet. That cat loved everyone. The only bad thing is he scared people because of his size!!! Lol!!! R.I.P. to Big Joe you were a great friend buddy!!! 👍👍👍

My Dandy Lion was a male grey tabby and he was perfect in every way. I met him when he was about two days old and we had an enormous bond for 17 1/2 years.

Recently lost my Charlie Boy, he was 12 years old. Best friend and protector I ever had! Miss him so very much! Didn't spray, wasn't neutered. 100 % indoor cat.

In the city in high traffic areas I understand keeping cat's indoors, but otherwise they can be trained to be wary of cars when young and kept in at night and during certain holidays. I have known many indoor-outdoor cat's that have loved very long lives, and they are SO much happier!

Jackson you’re always predicting everything for me. When we got a new kitten and were going to introduce them (how to introduce a kitten video came out), how to not stress so much for moving, when my sisters cat passed away you made a video on how to deal with grieving, and last week we recently rescued our first male kitten.

My orange boy lived for 17 years 💕 I'm glad I got so many years with him.

He passed away end of May this year, its been hard without him.

edit: As if losing my orange boy wasn't hard enough, less than 10 months later (this March) my little tabby girl passed away at the age of 6. Her heart stopped beating during a dental surgery and they couldn't revive her. The past 12 months have been the hardest time for me. I lost her so early in her life and I miss her with my whole soul. RIP Simba & Peach.

My orange boy is 18, nearing his end. He has been diabetic for 3 years, he has rallied 3 times since the onset of the disease. I fear his next bad day will be coming soon.He is losing weight, but this appetite is good. He still interacts with us, but I know in my gut he will be crossing the bridge soon.He has been such a good boy and I love him so much. He has lived through a tornado that took our home. We rebuilt and 9 years later we had a house fire. We all got out safely but we had to relocate to a rental in our town and. We are rebuilding, hoping to be in by the end of off January. This cat has been thorough a lot with his people.

I rescued a beautiful, impossibly thin cat and her 7 (SEVEN) kittens at the 11 th hour in a kill shelter. She and all the babies came home with me. What a joy! That was 19 years ago. Only one of the kittens is still with us, but Ginger, short or Virginia, is here in my lap. She's amazing and so beautiful. I've known she was rare. Wish I could send a picture! ❤
Thanks, Jackson! ❤

Ty Jackson, I just adopted a 6 year old male cat from the shelter. He is neutered!!!! I felt like older animals tend to get looked over. His name is Jax and it was the 3rd time he was in the shelter.. He is so sweet and very spoiled... King of the TY for putting out these video.. Much love from NC

In the 50 years on our farm we have had about 20 barn cats. Almost all neutered by our vet and all males until 2 years ago. Many were young but not kittens and all lived to at least 17 years and a couple to 20. Some were semi feral but tamed down quickly and all became super friendly. Only Charlie our first lived inside and out. Rest lived in our barn.

My Big Boy was the gentlest cat ever. When I later adopted a kitten, I thought he wouldn't like the baby, but he took it on himself to raise him. He was very concerned about the kitten's cleanliness and would hold him down with his big paw to finish his bath.

I’m adopting my first adult rescue cat in 2 days. He’s been in shelter since early 2019, the shelter said he’s shy but okay with being touched. I’m binge watching your videos so I can give him the best first impression possible! Thank you for your super informative channel ❤️❤️

I have my first orange cat. Found him mewing in a wheel well as a kitten. Softest cat EVER. Craziest personality of all the cats I've ever had. He's a joy.

My boy is fixed, and after watching this I’m glad I’m a firm believer of getting my pets fixed.

I had a beautiful Maine Coon & he lived to be 19 years old. He was an inside-outside cat, but definitely had all his vacs up to date annually. He was also a barn cat 🐈! I have a 14 yr. Old grey Persian & recently adopted a male Tuxedo named "GUIDO". He's so affectionate as my Maine Coon, "WHISKERS" was.

I have the best cat story ❤️ we adopted our GIRL ginger tabby (RARE!) at the shelter. I didn't realize she was at the shelter from 1.5 years old until 5.5 years old until the 1st vet appointment when they looked at the paperwork! YES! She was at the no kill shelter for 4 years 😭 she is the sweetest kitty I've ever had and I love her so so so much! She is a (mostly) indoor/but also outdoor cat. We took out a window screen and cut up one of those magnet closure screens and she jumps in and out. She is extremely territorial....if another cat comes around she'll defend us no matter what. But she kisses me and always needs our approval. She has terrible anxiety and eats like crazy if we leave for a short 2 day vacation (separation anxiety, probably bc she was left so long at the shelter). She HATES other cats. But she'll come right up to me and want to be as snuggly as possible. She strangely will use the litter box at the same exact time i use the bathroom- like its some sort of bonding experience?! I've never had a better cat in all my life! My husband, who has never been fond of cats, freaking loves her with all his heart ❤️

Now you have to talk about female cat traits! I really liked the discussion of male jowls, it's something people don't often notice.
And I'm glad you mentioned drinking antifreeze. It's one of the most infamous pet killers around. The stuff tastes good to them, apparently it's sweet. My father loved working on cars, and we had a lot of semi-domesticated barn cats living on the property.
I saw a whole litter lost to antifreeze one year. And it was not a peaceful death. Please, be careful when disposing of antifreeze.

When I was really young, my family had a cat named Ralph. Ralph had been a greenhouse cat until he came to live with us. My dad didn’t want to fix him, wanted to keep him a “man”.

Ralph would be out all night cattin’ around, getting in fights, searching for loose she cats all night, then he’d come home and collapse once he cleared the threshold. He’d sleep all day, get up, eat, and back out again being the town stud.

Ralph only lived to be eight years old. He lived hard and fast and, I’m sure, he had no regrets.

My orange tabby male, Jeff is ever so sweet. It a genius. His tiny tortie mom Kitten is a love. I rescued 27 cats. Best decision ever. I had one red heeler, Steve Irwin. He loved cats.
