Not Another Reaction Channel (Or Is It?)

Hello friends! I'm not exactly sure what I want my channel to focus on. I've had a lot of thoughts lately on what the purpose of my channel should be, and whether or not I want to just be another reaction channel.

Hi Nate, another German here. So you got a wife but I've never seen her in a video so far. I'd like to see that, too. And if you have kids or pets, do integrate them too (if they're cool with it). Collabs with other YouTubers like NALF, Feli from Germany, James Bray, Passport Two, Our Story To Tell, Life In Germany, Foreign Reacts would also add to the mix.

Being an reaction channel isn't bad in itself, just don't do the same thing as all the others, add your own flavour to the mix. I'm subscribed to around 1.000 YT channels now. Many of them have been reaction channels lately, often by Black people/couples. I even watch the same video they react to, but always by another reactor. Sometimes the reaction topics range from being foodie to Christmas markets/medieval markets to culture clash situations to economics/healthcare/tuition or are more on the touristic side.

Fun fact: I didn't watch any of your videos in the first few months - I saw the thumbnail and I always thought "That guy definitely needs more humour, he always looks like someone/something has seriously pissed him off. Seriously, you gotta smile more...!" Then I gave it a try. And I found that you are one of those people who can analyze a situation without feeling constantly triggered and offended which I respect very much. You, Nate, can actually listen to a foreigner and admit that they indeed have a point. I like those US Americans who have outgrown their fish bubble because they've been to another country or are married to a foreigner or did a exchange year. It changes perspective - or fixes it. You finally come to the conclusion that the world doesn't revolve around the USA which is wholesome. <8;-)

Hi Nate, is always good to review your goals with these videos, adjusting a bit to become more unique is a good tactic. The way you discuss this topic in this video gives me confidence you are on the right track of developing you channel.
I highly enjoy videos that go one step further than just react, namely analyze topics in a video. This means some more preparations, like pre-watching a video, do some investigation on certain topics shown in the video and than present the video with the results of these investigations. It becomes more interesting for the viewers, imho. Like 'audit the audit' channel. Or maybe comment a video with 2 hosts, you and a German guy with his opinion on certain topics. I am very curious what you will bring in the future.

Thanks for the ride. I don't think you should limit yourself to be just another reaction channel. That would be boring. Occasional reactions are Ok, but i'd be more interested in actual new content (ie your experiences etc)

i swear, as a german seeing the dashcam videos of american accidents i kinda think you guys oversees are more focused on your phones than on the road. there are german crashcam videos on youtube too, but compared to americans i think they are lame. no flying cars, no copchases and stuff like that. 😂 but seriously, i feel like german brakes are 5 times more efficient than americans or often they just dont brake at all.
